Animal Stories and Fun Facts

At Craigbank Farm, we believe every animal is a part of our family, and we invite you to meet them! From the mischievous lambs who love to play, to the serene cows who enjoy the sun on their backs, each animal has its own personality and story.

Our sheep are not just fluffy and cute; they are also incredibly friendly and enjoy being petted. Did you know that sheep have excellent memories? They can remember up to 50 different faces!

Our donkeys, Bryony and Lesley, are a big hit with the kids. They are gentle, approachable, and love a good carrot treat. Each donkey has its own personality, making every interaction special.

Chickens at Craigbank Farm are free-range and love to scratch around the yard. They are a great example of sustainable farming practices and provide us with fresh eggs daily.

Our highland cows, Doris and Anne, are the gentle giants of the farm, although you do have to watch out for those sharp horns! They love grazing in the open fields and watching our visitors drive carefully down the drive. Cows have a strong social structure and form close bonds with each other.
