Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Craigbank Farm! When you book an event, tour, or seasonal experience with us, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.

1. Booking and Tickets

  • Advance Booking: All farm events (including Lambing Tours, Pumpkin Experiences, and Sheep Walking) require pre-booking online via our ticketing partner. Unplanned or walk-in visits cannot be accommodated as we are a working farm.
  • Ticket Confirmation: Tickets must be presented upon arrival (either printed or digitally on a mobile device).
  • Booking Fees: Third-party platform booking fees (e.g., Ticket Tailor) are non-refundable.
  • Age Classifications: Standard ticket categories (Adult, Child, Under 1s) must be selected accurately at checkout. All children must be accompanied and supervised by a paying adult at all times.

2. Cancellations, Refunds, and Rescheduling

  • Customer Cancellations: Tickets are generally non-refundable unless stated otherwise for a specific event. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your booking, and we will do our best to accommodate rescheduling subject to availability.  We will generally offer refunds if your request is out-with 7 days of your event.
  • Weather Policy: Farm events run rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for outdoor conditions. In the rare event of extreme or unsafe weather conditions, Craigbank Farm reserves the right to cancel the event. In such cases, customers will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
  • Farm Alterations: As a working farm, circumstances beyond our control (such as animal health requirements or agricultural emergencies) may occasionally require us to alter event schedules or activities. We will notify ticketholders promptly if significant changes occur.

3. Health, Safety, and Pregnancy Warnings

  • Pregnancy Warning (Important): Due to the risks associated with certain livestock (particularly during lambing season) transmitting infections that can harm an unborn child, lambing tours and certain animal experiences are strictly unsuitable for anyone who is pregnant or trying for a family.
  • Hygiene and Handwashing: Contact with animals and farm environments carries a natural risk of infection. Visitors must wash their hands thoroughly at designated handwashing stations after touching animals and before eating or drinking. Do not allow animals near your face or put fingers in your mouth after touching livestock.
  • Clothing and Footwear: Visitors must wear sensible, sturdy footwear (such as boots or wellies) and warm, waterproof clothing. Open-toed shoes, sandals, or high heels are strictly discouraged due to uneven farm terrain.
  • Farm Rules & Staff Guidance: Visitors must follow all instructions given by Craigbank Farm staff and adhere to safety signage across the site. We reserve the right to remove any visitor whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful to staff, other guests, or animals, without a refund.

4. Dogs and Pets

  • No Dogs Allowed: Given the close proximity to vulnerable livestock and working farm animals, pet dogs are strictly not permitted on the farm.
  • Assistance Dogs: Registered guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome. Please notify us in advance of your visit so we can brief you on any specific livestock management precautions.

5. Accessibility and Facilities

  • Terrain: Most pathways are paved or compacted gravel and are generally accessible for buggies and wheelchair users. However, as a rural farm environment, some ground conditions can be uneven.
  • Facilities: Accessible toilets and tea tent facilities are available on-site.

6. Photography and Media

  • By attending Craigbank Farm events, you consent to being in overview photos or videos taken by farm staff for promotional purposes (such as social media and website use). If you do not wish for you or your children to be photographed, please inform a member of staff upon arrival.
  • We would always ask prior permission from you before posting any direct photos of your family on the interent.

7. Liability

  • Craigbank Farm accepts no liability for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property brought onto the premises.
  • While we take every precaution to ensure visitor safety, visiting a working farm involves inherent risks. Craigbank Farm is not liable for any injury, illness, or loss sustained while on-site, except where caused by proven negligence on the part of farm management.

If you have any specific accessibility requirements or questions about your upcoming visit, please reach out to us directly through our website.
