Can you explain the pricing structure?

Price is £40 per sheep which includes entry for up to 4 people, additional people can be added at £10 per head, max 6 people per sheep. Everyone over the age of 1 needs an entry ticket.

For Example:
1 person. 1 sheep, total £40
2 people. 1 sheep, total £40
3 people. 1 sheep, total £40
4 people. 1 sheep, total £40 or 2 sheep, total £80
5 people. 1 sheep, total £50 or 2 sheep, total £80
6 people. 1 sheep, total £60 or 2 sheep, total £80
7 people. 2 sheep, total £80
8 people. 2 sheep, total £80
9 people. 2 sheep, total £90 or 3 sheep, total £120
10 people. 2 sheep, total £100 or 3 sheep, total £120
11 people. 2 sheep, total £110 or 3 sheep, total £120

Plus a 3% booking fee to cover transaction costs.

We are a group of people, do we each get a sheep to walk?

No, each group gets a sheep to share between them. However, if you would like more than 1 sheep for your group then you can purchase more sheep, priced at £40 each.

Do both adults and children count in the group numbers?

Yes, everyone over the age of 1 counts in your total number of people

What time should I turn up for my sheep walking experience?

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your allocated time to allow for parking.

How long does the experience last?

The experience lasts approximately 90 minutes and includes a tour of the farm, the opportunity to feed the highland cows, sheep and donkeys, a walk with your sheep and time in our tea tent.

Can I visit the farm out with a pre-booked tour?

Unfortunately, as we are a working farm we cannot accept unplanned visits.

Do I have to book online?

Yes, please book using the following link. If you have any specific requirements, please contact us to discuss them.

What should I wear for my experience?

Please wear warm, waterproof clothes and wellie boots or sturdy shoes, the yard areas are paved/gravel. The sheep walking is in a field.

Please note the whole experience is outside, there are no heated areas.

What happens if it rains on the day of my experience?

Sheep walking will run rain or shine, so please come prepared for the weather. If the weather conditions are unsafe, we will contact you to reschedule or offer a refund.

Are you wheelchair/pram friendly?

Unfortunately out sheep waking experience is not suitable for wheelchair users or prams due to ground conditions.

Is the sheep walking experience suitable for children?

Although all ages are welcome to attend the event, it is most suitable for adults and children aged 5 and over.

Do you do private tours?

Please contact us if you would like to arrange a private tour and we will see if we can accommodate you.

Can I bring by dog?

Given the close proximity to livestock please leave your dogs at home. Guide dogs are welcome.

Will there be food available?

Yes, you get a free tea, coffee or fruit shoot. Soft drinks, chocolate, crisps etc are available to purchase from our tea tent.

Are there any safety guidelines I need to follow during the tour?

For your safety, please follow all instructions from your guide. Please see the safety section on the ‘Visitor Information’ page.

Can I take photos during the tour?

Yes, feel free to take photos! We just ask that you be mindful of your surroundings and respectful of other guests. Please tag us on Instagram, @craigbankfarm
